Obtained dismissal of case filed against Somali client charged with importing 200 pounds of khat through SeaTac International Airport. Represented Canadian client charged with smuggling 115 pounds of Ecstasy into the United States, an offense carrying a sentencing range of 188 to 235 months.  Negotiated resolution whereby client was allowed to plead to an economic offense and received a sentence of time served - 92 days. Obtained defense verdict and award of attorney's fees for client whose home had been seized for forfeiture due to marijuana growing activities. Successfully moved to suppress evidence seized when U.S. Customs drug dog "alerted" on client's postal package.  Felony marijuana charges dismissed. Defended client charged with eighty-six counts related to complex tax fraud scheme.  Charges carried a sentencing range of 108 to 135 months.  Jury hung on all counts after six-week trial.  Subsequently negotiated resolution whereby client pled to a single alternate charge and received a sentence of time served - 4 months. Obtained dismissal of felony charges against client accused of stealing software from local software corporation.
